CWP Free or CWPpro?

In case you’re unsure what version of CWP you’re using, check the lower-right corner of your dashboard.

You’ll either see a color-coded button stating if you do or don’t have CWPpro.

Purchase CWPpro License

To purchase a CWPpro license, Visit: https://my.starburstservices.com/order.php

Select the option you want.

It will then ask you to "Configure Product" and have a field for the 'Server IPv4'.

If you do not know the Base IP for your server, you can find this from the bottom of your CWP dashboard under “CWP Info.”

You will receive 2 Email's.
One stating your CWPpro license will be activated within 24 hours.
The 2nd will advise you that the license has been added to the database.

If after 24 hours (CWP only checks for license updates once every 24 hours, or after a reboot).

Or, you can manually upgrade your server immediately after receiving the 2nd Email.

Please run the following to manually upgrade:

Log out of the CWP Admin Web Interface

SSH into your server
From the command line interface (CLI) run: sudo sh /scripts/update_cwp

You should now see “You are running CWPpro” in green at the bottom right of your dashboard.

Troubleshoot or Move CWPpro Licenses

Is simple, just submit a tech support ticket via the client portal, tell us the IP you want the license moved from and the IP you want it moved to.

Redirect HTTP Port 80 Traffic to HTTPS Port 443 With A .htaccess File

OVERVIEW

Redirecting traffic refers to redirecting traffic from one port to another.
Like redirecting HTTP traffic to the Secure HTTPS port.

REQUIREMENTS

Before you start, be sure to have handy:

• Your FTP login credentials and an FTP Client like FileZilla
• SSH credentials or File Manager access
• Text Editor

READ ME FIRST

As a configuration file, .htaccess is very powerful.
Even the slightest syntax error (like a missing space) can result in your content not displaying correctly or at all.

Since .htaccess is a hidden system file, please make sure your FTP client is configured to show hidden files.
This is usually an option in the program's preferences/options.

This guide will show you how to log into the end user account.

In this control panel, you can complete tasks including managing subdomains, managing user email accounts, setting up FTP Accounts, plus many more.

Use the URL sent to you in your Welcome email.

When you visit this URL, you will be presented with the CWP Control Web Panel Login screen.

Log in by entering the Username and Password for the account, then click Login.

If you have forgotten the password, simply click Recover password, and it will be sent to the email address on file.
Password changes can also be done via your account portal at https://my.starburstservices.com/

Once you are logged into the User panel, you may now continue with the necessary changes, edits, modifications you were looking to accomplish.

After you log into your Namecheap account, follow these 4 steps to point the DNS to Starburst Services's DNS.
In this example we use mercury.ns.starburstdns.net, please make sure to use the DNS servers mentioned in your Welcome Email.

STEP 1

Click on Manage to the right of the domain name you want to update:

2: Click on the pull down menu, and select "Custom DNS"
3: Enter only the name server names (e.g. mercury.ns.starburstdns.net)
4: Click on Blue Checkmark (Save)

After you click on save, you will get a spinning circle saving the settings.

5: Click on Blue Checkmark (Save)

Checking Email Through Webmail

The simplest way to check your email on CentOS Web Panel is through the webmail client. CentOS Web Panel features the Roundcube webmail client by default.

Step 1.
You can access the webmail client by typing in your domain name followed by /webmail
Here is an example of what it would look like in your URL bar. (e.g. https://example.com/webmail)

Step 2.
Once you arrive at your webmail portal login page, you will need to enter your username and password here.
The username will always be entered as the FULL email address of the domain inbox you wish to check (e.g. myname@example.com)

Step 3.
You will be presented with the main Webmail portal after successfully logging in.
From here, you can send and receive an email as you would with any other email account.

WordPress is arguably the most popular web platform on the internet.

When using your Starburst Hosting Web Plan, you may wish to install WordPress.

This guide will cover the steps required for installing WordPress via the User Admin Web Panel.
